New Resource Center Offers Hope to Springfield, MO Youth Aging Out of Foster Care

Young people aging out of foster care in Southwest Missouri face a unique set of challenges as they navigate life’s path from childhood to adulthood.

Community support offers much-needed resources and guidance to make that transition a successful one.

Good Samaritan Boys Ranch recently cut the ribbon to the new Resource Center at their Springfield campus. President and CEO Casey Wray explained that the center includes training where clients learn valuable skills, along with home furnishings to decorate their first apartment.

Wray was joined by Travis Powell of Lamar Advertising, other Ambassadors from the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and local elected officials to celebrate the new facility.

Thanks to everyone at Good Samaritan for the work you do to make Southwest Missouri a better place for our young people!
